I was fortunate to discover my passion for tennis at a young age, which marked the beginning of my journey as a Sports Therapist. As a junior I competed and trained to a high level, often spending my weekends travelling all over the country. However, countless injuries at a young age and a high level of treatment I received lead to my chosen career path, Sports Therapy. Alongside, studying for my degree at Bournemouth University I was able to continue my tennis journey, proudly representing
and captaining the Women’s 1 st Team as well as sharing knowledge with junior players at The West Hants Club.
I have recently joined the team, here at Body Consultancy after graduating with a 1 st Class Honours.
My specialist areas are Sports Massage, Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation as well as general aches and pains, where I use a variety of soft tissue modalities and my holistic approach to therapy means I can tailor rehabilitation programmes to suit the needs and goals of the patient. During a Sports Massage, I will use a variety of techniques including Dry Needling, Trigger Pointing and Myofascial work accompanied with traditional massage and Electrotherapy. I have experience working
professional athletes, ‘Weekend Warriors’ and the general public putting the needs of the patient at the forefront whether its running a 5k every weekend, competing at the highest level or improving quality of life, I will put together an extensive rehabilitation programme and focus on both the short and long term goals. I will also be offering Personal Training sessions at the gym in our Ringwood clinic which includes 1-1 training, group sessions and exercise classes. I am passionate about building
good rapport with patients, delivering a high-quality service and enabling patients to progress and maintain good physical and mental health.
