Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a complete system of diagnosis in its own right.
It is able to treat almost all problems of ill health. In some
cases it can cure an illness completely, whilst with other serious
illnesses, such as cancer, it can help counteract the problematic
symptoms created by prescribed drugs, as well as help with pain
relief. The degree to which acupuncture can help will depend on
the individual case, how long the problem has existed and the
response of the patient. An initial consultation with the
acupuncturist will determine how acupuncture can help. We are
able to help with:

Our fully trained team use a dry
needling technique (not to be confused with Traditional
Chinese Medicine). There is good evidence that this form
of treatment works well in conjunction with general
chiropractic care.
Does it work?
Acupuncture is recognised by the World Health
Organisation as an effective form of treatment. It is
often practiced in your local hospitals and GPs are
increasingly accepting the validity of acupuncture as one
of the most valuable complementary therapies.
According to the British Medical Association Report in
June 2002, 80% of GPs said that they would like to see
acupuncture available on the NHS. |
